10 amazing facts about the female body

Women are awesome. We are mothers, sisters, and daughters who offer the gift of life. We work, we raise children, and we do it all while looking pretty good. “Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did,” Ann Rogers once said. She just did it in high heels and backwards.”

Did you know, however, that the proverb "men are from Mars, women are from Venus" may have some truth to it?

Girls, for example, have a great memory for facial expressions, according to some reports.

1. Women have a better immune system than men.

It's just a matter of genetics. These sex-specific health differences, according to researchers from Ghent University in Belgium, may be due to genetic material known as microRNAs.

MicroRNAs in cells have the primary purpose of turning off specific genes. MicroRNAs on the female X chromosome, according to the researchers, may offer women an immune system advantage over men.

This result seems to be reinforced by the fact that women are diagnosed with cancer at a lower rate than men, according to another study.

2. Women have a higher pain tolerance than men.

Despite the fact that pain is subjective, a recent study has found that women, on average, can tolerate the discomfort of pain better than men. During a series of studies, men rated their pain higher than women, according to McGill University researchers. When faced with individual discomfort, men were also found to be more "stressed and hypersensitive" than women.

3. Women have a stronger sense of smell than men.

“It is very difficult to block a woman's perception of body odor,” Charles Wysocki, a behavioral neuroscientist at the Monell Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia, found in his report. In men, on the other hand, it appears to be relatively simple.”

Women are more susceptible to underarm body odor, according to the researchers, because the biological knowledge it provides aids in the selection of a potential mate. It definitely outperforms Tinder.

The researchers put 32 fragrances to the test to see how well they could mask body odor. Nineteen of the fragrances tricked the male test subjects. Just two of the scents were able to effectively overpower the underarm pong in women.

4. Women have a wider range of color perception.

According to research by Israel Abramov of CUNY's Brooklyn College, women have a greater "color vocabulary" than men. Men and women were required to break down the hue of a color and assign a percentage to the groups of red, yellow, green, and blue, according to Abramov.

The findings revealed that women were better than men at distinguishing between subtle gradations.

This sensitivity was most apparent in the color spectrum's centre. Women were better at identifying minute variations between colors that seemed to be the same to men.

And it's for this reason that we should still be able to choose the paint colors in a new house.

5. Women remember things better than men.

Have you ever had a dispute with a woman just for her to bring up an old issue? Yes, that is definitely my approach, and there may be a scientific explanation for it, as irritating as it may be. (At least, that's what I'm using as an excuse, and I'm sticking to it.)

According to studies, the gender gap could be due to how we teach our daughters and sons to tell stories. We build memories by telling stories.

According to study, when mothers ask their children for information about their days, they are simply teaching them how to remember things. Gender norms orient girls more toward elaboration than boys, according to Azriel Grysman, a Hamilton College professor who studies gender and memory.

6. Women's necks are more supple than men's.

Have you ever noticed how men turn their whole bodies around when women just turn their heads? This is due to the fact that women's necks are more flexible. In general, women's muscle structures are much more elastic.

Women, on the other hand, are more susceptible to neck pain than men.

7. Women's hearing is responsive even while sleeping, and nature is to blame.

During sleep, women are hypersensitive to sounds, allowing new mothers to hear and respond to crying babies. Women are especially susceptible to high-pitched noises.

Unfortunately, this means that women are more likely to have sleep problems. Ladies, earplugs are your best friends here.

8. One breast is larger than the other in women.

Asymmetry of the breasts is very common, affecting more than half of all women. According to folklore, the left breast is often larger since it is situated above the heart, allowing more blood to flow into it. The real reason, however, is genetics.

It's unclear why women have more breast tissue cells on one side than the other; it may be because the cells are more susceptible to the effects of the hormone estrogen, which allows breast tissue cells to expand.

Though the reasons for this are unknown, having different-sized breasts is perfectly natural.

9. Women's bodies begin to shift long into their twenties.

For women, puberty does not mean the end of bodily changes. Acne, menstrual cramps, and the height of metabolism all strike women in their twenties. Not only that, but the body may begin to curve and cellulite may appear.

The 20s are a rollercoaster of emotional and physical growth, but by the 30s and beyond, things have calmed down. That is, before perimenopause sets in...

10. Women's brains are more intricately hard-wired than men's

According to Dr Ragini Verma, PhD, an associate professor in the department of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine, and colleagues, women's brains are more integrated than men's.

This suggests that women are better at forming social bonds and adapting to routines than men. But, of course, we already knew that, didn't we?
