Jim Acosta wears T-shirt detailing the 2020 stories he covered while getting vaccination
Jim Acosta went viral on Twitter after wearing a T-shirt with 2020 stories on it while getting vaccinated.
On Monday, CNN anchor and chief domestic reporter Jim Acosta posted a picture of himself getting the coronavirus vaccine.
The 49-year-old reporter, who became a "familiar foe" of former President Donald Trump during his presidency, wrote on Twitter, "Just the shot in the arm I needed."
“The latest results show that the Covid-19 vaccines are highly effective,” he added. Please do your part to put this pandemic to an end. “Take your chance!”
"In 2020, I covered the impeachment trial & a caucus night (that lasted a week) & the primaries & the covid pandemic & the economic crash & the racial justice protests & Lafayette Square & so many rallies & the death of RBG & the president’s 1AM coronavirus diagnosis & a Supreme Court confirmation & an election night (that lasted a week) & things by tweet & the recounts & the presidential transition & I have a commemorative shirt to prove it,” the shirt read.
Commenters who observed the unusual outfit shared their mixed feelings in the post's comments, which has nearly 60,000 likes.

Over the last four years, Acosta has emerged as a hero of the anti-Trump movement, often attracting attention to himself by yelling questions, grandstanding at news briefings, and debating with members of the Trump administration.
Acosta was ridiculed late last year for saying that covering Trump was "an experience that would warrant hazard pay."
When Trump's presidency ended, Acosta was relieved of his White House duties.
During his tenure in the White House, Acosta was noted for his combative style of challenging administration officials and preferring bombastic editorializing over disinterested reporting. From former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany to former senior policy advisor Stephen Miller to Trump himself, he sparred. He famously declined to give up a microphone in 2018 during a heated exchange with Trump at a press conference.
Acosta declined to hand over the microphone to a female White House aide, and the two made brief eye contact. Later that day, his White House pass was revoked, but it was subsequently reinstated after CNN claimed that it violated the network's and Acosta's First and Fifth Amendment rights. Acosta's hostile attitudes toward members of the Trump administration did not improve as a result of his meeting with the aide.
When Biden took office, Kaitlan Collins took over as CNN's chief White House correspondent.
